The United Kingdom is a sovereign country that is located in Europe off the north-west coast. The country is comprised of Great Britain and Northern Ireland plus smaller islands. The countries include England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. It shares a border with the Republic of Ireland and then is surrounded by water. The total area of the UK is 94,060 square miles. The capital city is London. It is ruled by a constitutional monarchy system that has a parliamentary system.

 The United Kingdom is an important global player, with the world’s 6th largest economy in the world. It has considerable powers of military, economics, scientific and political influences. Interestingly, the UK has sovereignty over other territories that are not part of the United Kingdom. There are 17 such territories, some of them include Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.

London boasts some of the hottest bars in the United Kingdom. One of these bars is the Boisdale. This bar features a Scottish-themed design with an extensive drink menu. The drink menu is more of an encyclopedia than it is a drink menu. It even includes the history of various whiskys  and individual tasting notes. Another venue for entertainment seekers is the Booking Office. This restaurant/bar has been touted to be dramatic and magnificent.

A tiny beach bar in Wales has been named as one of the best beach bars in the world – beating out beach hotspots in the Caribbean, Florida and Australia. The Ty Coch Inn is Welsh for “Red House”. This bar overlooks the Irish Sea and the sand of the Porthdinllaen.
